The Futility of "Communication"
Perhaps I should have been more clear
Happy weekend! Today’s entry is a short bit a dialogue that may or may not be biographical. In any case, hoping your Saturday is full of fruitful “communication”!
Me: Does anyone want any more spaghetti before I put it up?
{Silence}
Me: Girls? Sam? I'm putting up the spaghetti.
{No response}
Me: I'm going to put up the spaghetti. No one wants any?
{Crickets}
Me: Ok, there is spaghetti and I'm putting it up the now.
{Never has the house been so quiet}
Me: Last chance . . .for this spaghetti.
{Nada}
Me: Alright, final warning. . . spaghetti is packed up and going into the fridge. Speak now . . .
{The silence, as they say, is deafening}
(Man slides Tupperware containers full of spaghetti into the fridge, sits in a relaxing manner on couch)
Kid: Dad, do we have any spaghetti left?

"THEN GO AHEAD AND STARRRRRRRRRVE!" (Beast, from Beauty and the beast -- I watched this two nights ago with my 3 year old and feel this quote is appropriate here =)
